Little Willow's story
Due to its insight, symbolism, allusions and character
development, "Restless" became an instant
classic. In fact, it is one of my favorite episodes,
second only to "Prophecy Girl," and closely
followed by "The Wish."
Favorite dream sequence: I loved them all equally. I
honestly cannot choose. One moment I'll lean towards the
Alice in Wonderland journey shown in Buffy's dream; the
next, the need for acceptance in Willow's sequence; then,
the attempts to move forward via Xander; then, the smarts
and songs with Giles. It is impossible for me to single
out one of the acts as my favorite.
Favorite face: I was utterly surprised and very pleased
to see Tara (Amber Benson) pop up time and time again in
Restless, being the guide to not just Willow anymore, but
to Buffy - and then again, only moments later. It showed
Tara's "guiding" and "knowing"
qualities but also made way for her to be a little
stronger and a little more everpresent, as she had become
in the last string of episodes that season.
Favorite quote: "You think you know. What's to come.
What you are. You haven't even begun."
Izybella Angellover's story
I think most of the dreams were all just things that were mentioned
sometime during the 4 seasons... Willow; I think her dream involved
all the people she knew. And her dressed up as her from 10th grade
was because she wanted to fit in in first year of college.
Xander; I loved his dream it had all things you find in dreams him and Anya arguing was a simble of his wanting to know what his relationship with Anya is heading towards. and when Spike is becoming Giles apprentice I think it means that over the seasons Giles has shown sometimes that he gets annoyed with Xander (Bewitched, Bothered and Bewilderd, Becoming 2) so Xander is feeling even Spike gets accepted.
Giles; and his wonderful song his father figure with Buffy
and finally Buffy; being worried about her and Faith. Dawns arrival being mentioned.
