UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD BRINGS 'BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER' AND 'ANGEL' TO LIFE
WITH GROUNDBREAKING 'LIVE' ATTRACTION AT HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS IV
Universal City, California
- The two Emmy-nominated hit television series "Buffy The Vampire Slayer
" and "Angel," will come to life at Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween
Horror Nights IV in October with "Buffy & Angel: Hellmouth Haunt,"
an all-new multi-media Halloween attraction capturing the terror, excitement,
supernatural adventure and dark humor of the action-packed dramatic thrillers.
"Buffy and Angel: Hellmouth
Haunt" is the first live attraction based on either of the two series.
The terror-filled attraction, to be created on one of Universal's historic
sound stages, will open with Halloween Horror Nights IV on Friday the 13th
of October and continue for seven additional nights on October 14, 20,
21, 27, 28, 29 and 31.
Through the recreation
of actual sets, live action stunts, video and a series of special effects,
"Buffy and Angel: Hellmouth Haunt" will introduce Halloween Horror Nights'
guests to the lore of the Slayer and of the Hellmouth, the mystical porthole
where the demons of the netherworld converge. Murderous demons lurk in
every dark corner, attacking guests relentlessly.
Combining narrative story
elements with visceral "scares," the attraction will mark the first time
that current television programs are adapted as a Halloween attraction.
"Buffy & Angel: Hellmouth
Haunt," will be one of many all-new "Halloween Horror Nights IV" attractions.
Among others are Rob Zombie's "The House Of 1000 Corpses Maze," based on
Zombie's upcoming debut as a director and
screenwriter, "The Undertaker:
No Mercy," created in association with the World Wrestling Federation and
"Clive Barker's Harvest," an all-new attraction created by the noted author
and filmmaker.
The Emmy Award-winning
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer," created by Joss Whedon, is now entering its
fifth season on the WB Network. The hit series stars Emmy Award-winner
Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Seth Green, James
Marsters and Anthony Stewart Head. Academy Award and Emmy nominee Whedon
serves as executive producer along with Sandy Gallin, Gail Berman, Fran
