Joss Interview at GeekMonthly.com

Part 1 - Embracing the Comics Life
Next month Dark Horse Comics is re-launching Buffy the Vampire Slayer in comics form, with Joss Whedon serving as "executive producer" and writer, along with a sterling number of fellow scenarists, among them writers for the live-action versions of both Buffy and Angel. This is the first of a several part interview with Joss, which begins with the reasons behind his becoming so involved with comics, having launched Astonishing X-Men, preparing to take over Runaways and, of course, returning to the Buffyverse that he created.

Buffy Meets The Office

From tvguide.com

Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon got a lesson in typecasting when he was brought in to direct the Feb. 15 episode of NBC's The Office. While much of the focus is on a student art show that includes the work of Pam (Jenna Fischer), there's also a bit about a bat taking up residence at Dunder Mifflin. "I was thinking I was doing something just about people," he told TV Guide during a break in the shooting. "Then there was a bat-stunt meeting, an animatronic-bat meeting... I thought, 'This is what I'm running away from!' There was only one bat in the entire run of Buffy. We couldn't afford it."

Joss to direct an episode of The Office

Joss Whedon will be directing an upcoming episode of the comedy series The Office. And for anyone who hasn't seen the show yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is hilarious!

The episode entitled "Business School" will air on February 15th at 8:30/7:30c on NBC. And here's the official PR description for the episode:

MICHAEL GOES TO BUSINESS SCHOOL WITH RYAN-- Ryan (B.J. Novak) invites Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) to be a guest speaker at his business school . Meanwhile, Dwight battles a bat that gets loose in the office while Pam (Jenna Fischer) invites co-workers to her first art show. Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Melora Hardin, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Paul Lieberstein, and Mindy Kaling also star.

Re-Buffed: New Comic Book Series Resurrects Vampire Slayer
So what if Buffy the Vampire Slayer has died twice? After all, nobody really passes away in the Buffyverse there's always an afterlife for anyone with a good story line. In March, Buffy will get resurrected once again, this time in a comic book series that picks up where the last TV season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" left off. "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon is overseeing a multi-episode comic book arc that plays out as it if were a new season for the show. The comic book series promises to be conceptually bigger and more fantastical than the show ever was, thanks to being freed from the restrictions of time, budgets and, oh yeah, those pesky actors.
