A Midsummer Night's Ramble

Yup. You've managed to reach the news area of chosentwo.com. Here you can see some of the interesting tidbits of news regarding Buffy and Angel, brought to you by Anna, Kristina, and Little Willow.

Over at yeswes.com, they have the estimated Angel season four premiere date set as October 6th. The WB won't be releasing their fall schedule until later on in the summer, so nothing can be confirmed until then.

More premiere date news. Firefly, Joss Whedon's new futuristic show, is set to start on Friday, September 20th on Fox.

Metro Comics in Santa Barbara, CA will be holding a signing with Christian Kane (Lindsey) and Mercedes McNab (Harmony) on August 17th. For more information or to reserve a ticket, email metrocomix@aol.com Metro will also be holding a private signing with James Marsters (Spike) during the 2nd or 3rd week of August and a private signing with Juliet Landau (Dru) later this summer.

Melanie Doane's song "I Can't Take My Eyes Off You" was used at the close of BtVS Season 5 episode "Family," as Willow and Tara were dancing in the Bronze. This wonderful singer/songwriter has two new songs for you to hear as well as updated message boards and news at her official website.

Have a few news items to post tonight. First off, there are two articles about the recent press tour of the "Buffy" set. The first article is from Tampa Bay Online and you can read it here (warning - it is slightly spoilerish). The other article is from the National Post and you can read it here (it's spoiler-free).

As well, there is an article about the upcoming season of Buffy from the Orlando Sentinel. It is slightly spoilerish, and you can read it here.

Finally, there is a short interview with Alexis Denisof posted at Zap2it.com. It is spoilerish, and deals with the season premiere of Angel. You can read it here.

It's that time of year again... the time we love ever so much. The time where we get our hopes up and they comes crashing down upon our heads. Yup, you guessed it! Emmy time! But, hey, at least we got something this year (yes, I'm still bitter about last year).

This year we've got four nominations. Two for Outstanding Make-up (Prosethic and Non-Prosthetic), Outstanding Hairstyling, and Outstanding Music Direction (for "Once More, with Feeling"). Is anyone else seriously disturbed by the lack of a nomination in Outstanding Music and Lyrics for Joss? I wasn't as shocked that we didn't get Oustanding Writing (since they originally forgot to put us on the ballot), but come on.

Anyways, see a list of the other shows nominated along with BtVS in it's categories right over here, or you can always visit emmys.com for a complete list of all categories. And the Emmy Awards are scheduled to air September 22nd on NBC.

Premiere date news first... Buffy's 7th season will be premiering September 24th at 8pm on UPN. Set your clock, mark your calendar, burn it into your arm... whatever floats your boat!

A few new articles from Sci Fi Wire. Be aware that they all contain spoilers for BtVS and Angel, so read with caution.

Also, a couple articles from TV Guide Online... both rather old, so I apologize for the delay. This one is just a small interview with Michelle Trachtenberg, and the other is all about Marc Blucas and his upcoming movie roles.

And lastly, Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the cover of the August issue of Cosmopolitan. You can see the scans right here.
