Tons and tons of news since I've been neglecting this area (just haven't had a chance till now to post!). Let's start with a reminder that the BtVS Season 2 DVD sets are available from amazon.com now. There's an insert inside that reports the Season 3 DVDs will be out in Winter 2003. I believe they mean January 2003 by this, not December 2003, so don't panic.

Next up, a bunch of articles regarding next season from Sci Fi Wire. I'll just list them here by the article title since they are numerous... each one has spoilers of some kind though, so you've been warned!

But, just so we're all clear... the last title is somewhat untrue. Marti Noxon doesn't confirm that there will be a Season 8. She simply says it's possible.

Moving on... in the May 28th issue of Daily Variety, a DVD of "Once More, With Feeling" was included the magazine for subscribers. This was done to promote the show for possible Emmy nominations (which will be announced July 18th). The DVD is not for sale and can't be ordered through the Daily Variety back issue office (they have copies of the magazine, but it doesn't include the DVD). There are several copies for sale at ebay.com, but be warned they are not cheap! Here are a couple articles on the DVD's release, as well as scans of the DVD covers.

Very big Angel news: David Greenwalt, who's been at the helm of the show for the past three seasons, will be leaving to work on a show called "Miracles" for ABC/Touchstone. In his place will be David Simkins (Roswell, Dark Angel, Freaky Links). Read more about the change here.

The Saturn Awards were held recently and BtVS managed to walk away with the award for Best Network TV Series. James Marsters also won the fan-voted Cinescape's Faces of the Future Award.

Loads of stuff going on with Firefly, but too much to detail here. I recommend checking out the wonderful new official site for the show or the wonderful fansite, fireflyfans.net. There's also a small article from EW about the reshooting of the pilot episode which you can read here.

A couple Sarah Michelle Gellar articles from TV Guide Online to post... first one is all about Buffy next season... some spoilers in there. And the other one is about Sarah's role in the movie "Scooby Doo", which is in theaters right now.

Few more articles from Sci Fi Wire about some random stuff... this one is in regards to the animated series. Just to note, Jeph Loeb won't be in charge of the animated series anymore, he'll be working on Smallville instead. No word yet on who will replace him. Next article is just a short one about the possibility of Elisabeth Rohm (Kate) making a guest appearance next season on Angel. And this last one is in regards to Joss' comic series Fray, and when it will be finished.

We're almost done, folks... next up are a few fun links. This past Tuesday, June 18, The ATAS (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) held a Behind-the-Scenes event for BtVS. In attendance were Joss Whedon, Marti Noxon, Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, Michelle Trachtenberg, James Marsters, Carey Meyer (Production Designer), and Raymond Stella (Director of Photography). You can read all about it at these links:

And last of all, some scan fun for you all. Sarah has been making the magazine cover rounds this month: Seventeen (July 2002), InStyle (June 2002), and Entertainment Weekly (June 21, 2002). You can see the scans from all three magazines right over here. And we're done!

There is an interesting article (from Sympatico News) up about Sarah Michelle Gellar and her role in the upcoming Scooby-Doo movie. You can read it here.

As well, Sarah Michelle Gellar has said that she won't be the voice of Buffy in the animated series. You can read that article (from Sci Fi Wire) here.

Joss Whedon has also announced that scenes for the season premiere of Buffy will be shot in England. You can read that article (also from Sci Fi Wire) here. It is slightly spoilerish!

Couldn't get enough of watching Buffy dance in "OMWF"? Well - head on over to Dark Horse Comics, where you can play with the Buffy Dance mixer! You can access it here. (you will need a Flash plug-in).

And finally - Joss Whedon says that Charisma Carpenter is returning for a fourth season of Angel (yay!). You can read that article (from Sci Fi Wire) here.
