All Buffy Summers wants
is to hang out with her friends and relax. Is that too much to ask? It
is when you're the Slayer and there's a demonic force ripping through town
leaving a pile of bodies behind it. And even if she doesn't particularly
like the guys getting offed, Buffy's gotta put a stop to it!

The gang from Sunnydale
have faced some unspeakable horrors: ice demons, werewolves, and kung-fu
vampires among them. But can the group face the terror of Buffy and Xander
making out? What is going on here, and how is it tied to the super vampires,
Selke, and the mysterious figures in Sunnydale's sewers? If the group is
going to survive, they'll have to brave the chaos of Mardi Gras to find
the answers.

Art:
4.5/5 Both Buffys look great as do the rest of the characters. Even
Angel looks good (though a bit more pallid than normal) for the short bit
we see him.
Cover:
5/5 It's double Buffy! And both of them look awesome. I also
like the subtle touch of placing a shadowy Selke in the background.
Story:
4.5/5 Isn't it funny that the evil Buffy gets to have more fashion
sense than our Buffy? Things are just strange that way, I guess.
This is a great build-up for the next part, especially with the "Dark Slayer"
taking Buffy's part. I'm wondering if there's going to be any interaction
with her and Angel since she's got some vamp blood (though obviously not
too much since she's not bursting into flames with in sunlight...) and
he'd probably notice (hopefully) that bit.
Overall:
4.5/5

Mardi Gras is nearly upon
the Sunnydale gang and, in addition to finishing their float, they have
to figure out what's going on with Buffy. Since when has she been so into
her looks, and what's up with the... tattoos and piercings? Meanwhile,
Angel is getting closer and closer to discovering the source of the super-vamps...
and it may just cost him his life! Be there as the "Bad Blood" story
line rages on.
Anna says:
Art:
5/5 Ever notice when something is really good that it's hard to think of
stuff to say? My complaints always ending being huge run-on sentences,
while I have to use space fillers like this when I'm complimenting things.
Anyways, the art rocks. 'Nuff said.
Cover:
4/5 Great artwork, but the positioning makes it seem like the failed Dark
Slayer is holding Buffy prisoner (at least that's what I thought).
Story:
5/5 I love the twist of the first and failed Dark Slayer taking care of
Buffy. I wasn't expecting it since the cover is rather misleading.
So, the blood is poisoned, hmmm? I wonder who did that... (See
#14) I just hope they bring them both back because I'm really missing
Spike & Dru since their disappearance. And does the weird stuff
happening to the Dark Slayer have something to do with the poison?
It's all very intriguing!
Overall: 5/5
