Lorne begins to tell a story during one of his performances. A story that starts with a kid - Connor. Connor is walking down a LA street at night, bumping into people that get into his way. He's not paying attention to what's going on - he's too busy thinking of Cordy.

Lorne changes his mind mid-stream - the story actually starts with Cordy and Angel. Cordy has just asked Angel if they were in love, and Angel's stalling for time. Truth is, he doesn't know if they were in love or not. He knows that he had feelings for Cordy, but he doesn't know how she felt about him. Cordy stands up - she's had enough of this. Maybe she wasn't in love with Angel - maybe she was going to tell him to back off - in a romantic setting. Cordy is distraught - she wants to recognize the sound of her own name - Angel promises that they will get her back - memories and all. Lorne comes up and announces he has a spell that will work. There was no way it could fail at all (which tells you wackiness will soon ensue).

Back on stage, Lorne continues his story. A wraith gave him the spell and guaranteed it would work. Back in the garden, Angel was apprehensive. He doesn't trust spells (seeing how he had all that luck with them last year). Cordy doesn't care - she just wants to remember. Lorne gets to work at gathering the six.

In his apartment, Wes is trying out a new arm sheath weapon that shoots out stakes and unfolds a sword-like blade, when the phone rings. It's Lorne - he needs Wes at the Hyperion in order to begin the spell.

Fred and Gunn are laying in bed, staring blankly up at the ceiling when Angel knocks on their door. The six need to get into place.

On the floor of the lobby, a circle with six spokes has been drawn on the floor (with white paint, not blood). Lorne is busy preparing for the spell as Angel, Gunn and Fred come downstairs. Gunn makes some sarcastic remarks about the pentagram - he and Fred have had enough of portals. Gunn goes to head into the office, but stops when he sees Wes talking to Fred. Wes just wants to know how things went with Seidel ("Supersymmetry") and Fred tells him it's been done.

Back on stage, Lorne talks about the ill-fated spell. When they were preparing to do the spell, Lorne didn't know Fred had tried to kill Seidel. Gunn didn't know that Wesley had helped her, and Wesley didn't know Gunn had killed Seidel for Fred. And Fred, well she didn't know that Gunn had figured out that Wesley had helped Fred with the portal spell.

Angel has wandered into Cordy's room, where she has just gotten out of the shower. She wanted to clean herself up. Angel wants to know how Connor is, and Cordy says he's got a lot of pain inside of him. She thinks it helps being there for him, and she remarks to Angel that he was either (a) a stalker or (b) in love with her if he feels comfortable enough to wander into her room.

As Lorne and Fred prepare the spell, Gunn confronts Wes about how he is the muscle now, since he's no longer a leader. Wes and Fred - maybe they're kindred souls, because they've both got brains, and she felt comfortable enough to go to him to get revenge on Seidel. Gunn and Wes almost come to blows, but Wes lets the blade protrude from the wrist sheath he put on earlier. When Gunn wonders at Wes' new hardness, Wes reminds him that his throat was slit and all his friends abandoned him.

The six - Lorne, Fred, Gunn, Wesley, Cordy, Angel - have finally gathered around Lorne's symbol. The spell begins, and a white fog begins to emerge from the bottle at the center of the symbol. The six begin swaying, and drop hands. They all feel off - like they were high. As everyone stumbles around, Cordy stomps on the bottle, breaking it.

Wes wants to know what Cordy's name is. Cordy thinks she's in Sunnydale, and has been kidnapped. Cordy has her memory back - but everyone has reverted to their teenage personas.

The high school bitch (Cordy), the head boy from the Watchers Academy (Wesley), the street punk (Gunn), the geeky outcast (Fred) and the terrified Irish teen (Angel/Liam) are all present. Wes takes charge - he thinks it is some kind of test. Fred thinks the police and/or government are involved, and Liam - well, he doesn't want to have anything to do with the "English pig" (Wesley).

Everyone freaks out when they notice their hair, cleavage (well, only Fred and Cordy check out their cleavage), and appearances. They look older than they feel (because DUH! they are). As Cordy cries over her hair, Liam is convinced his father is right and that the devil is causing all of this because he was a sinner. Wesley and Gunn try to maintain level heads, but their ideas of leadership clash. In order to impress everyone, Wesley starts waving his arms around - and out pops a stake from his wrist sheath. This convinces Wesley once and for all that they are facing a test - sort of like the Cruciamentum Slayers are put through on their eighteenth birthday (BtVS - "Helpless"). The group begins looking for weapons, as Wesley discovers Lorne, unconscious. They mistake him for a devil.

Meanwhile, Connor is pummeling vampires in a dark alley as a blonde watches. Connor stakes one of the vampires as the other runs out of the alley. Connor lets the woman know she's safe, and she wants to reward him for saving her life. Unfortunately, Connor needs fifty dollars to get this reward. When she realizes he doesn't have the money, she jets - leaving Connor's "engine revving and stuck in park." (To quote Lorne.)

On stage, Lorne continues the tale of exploits at the Hyperion. He's been tied up with yards and yards of duct tape. Gunn wants to cut his head off, but Wesley thinks he'll have information when he wakes up. As Liam and Fred go through the weapons cabinet, Fred asks Liam if he has any weed. Wesley begins to tell the group that vampires are real, but Gunn gets to the punch line first. Liam wonders if Lorne is a vampire, but Wes says it's a demon - and beyond that, he's got nothing. Gunn goes to head to the weapons cabinet, but Wesley tries to restrain him. Head butting and fighting ensues between Gunn and Wes, which is put to an end by Cordy. Slowly, the group begins making level headed discussions, but Gunn is still reluctant to listen to them. The day he takes orders from these white folk - well, according to him, it's never gonna happen. (Hah!)

The group splits off to search the hotel for the vampire they believe is putting the whammy on them. Cordy pairs off with Liam, and starts putting the moves on him (in fact, her first reaction to him in this episode was exactly the same as her first reaction to him in BtVS - "Hello salty goodness!"). Liam is conflicted, and his face vamps out. He freaks out - and runs into the bathroom where he discovers he has no reflection. And he can make his face go all ridgy. He's the vampire.

Back on stage, Lorne continues the story of the fearless vampire killers. Gunn, Wes and Fred head into the kitchen to do some searching, and Fred thinks it might be aliens. Wesley is quite taken with her (his little stake pops out of his wrist sheath). The group meets up in the lobby, where they share the whole lot of nothing they discovered. Liam makes a break for the door, and leaves the Hyperion. But when he sees all the cars on the street, he is scared beyond words. He thinks all the cars are demons, and runs back into the safety of the hotel. Wes comes to the conclusion that a member of the group is the vampire. Both he and Gunn safely wield a cross, and they begin passing it around. Liam grabs it, and controls his reaction as his hand begins to smoke. He quickly drops his hand to his side so the others don't notice.

Lorne wakes up, taking attention off of Liam. They all go up to Lorne, who they think is speaking madness (Lorne is the only one that still remembers the spell and what happened). Wesley doesn't care what Lorne has to say - he just wants to know where the vampire is. Lorne says there aren't any - except for Angel. Liam hauls back and hits Lorne, all the while denying he is a vampire. The other four gang up on Liam, and they don't believe he won't hurt anyone. After they attack him, he vamps out and decides he's going to drain them all dry.

Liam chases Cordy through the hotel, and she lets out an inhuman scream for help. Liam heads toward Cordy, but is interrupted by Connor. Liam runs off, and Connor makes sure Cordy is alright. She doesn't know him, but tells him that if he helps her (by killing Liam) she'll give him a reward.

Connor begins tracking Liam. He catches up with him in the kitchen and a fight ensues. Meanwhile, Fred is checking on an unconscious Gunn. Lorne calls over to her - she needs to trust him. He can fix the spell, even though the bottle is broken.

Connor is having a hard time believing that Liam doesn't realize he is his father. Connor and Liam both begin griping about their fathers and how hypocritical they are (hah!). Liam doesn't want to fight - he'd rather have Cordy. Connor tells him to back off - she's his. Liam makes a smart ass remark, and gets punched around a lot for it. They end up in the lobby.

Lorne is mixing something in a bowl, and places a bit of it on Fred's tongue. She makes a face, and when she opens her eyes, sees Gunn about to attack Lorne. She calls out for everyone to wait. Everyone stops and looks at Fred.

Lorne gives everyone some of the mixture from the bowl. After Cordy has her share, she turns and runs.

Stage Lorne enlightens the audience on Cordy's running - she saw a demon opening its eyes (which are blood red) and it looks directly at her. And so, the story has come to an end. The audience wants more, but Lorne's going to leave them hanging.

Angel chases after Cordy. She remembers everything and needs to be alone for a while. Before she leaves, Angel asks her if they were in love. She looks at the floor and says they were. Angel watches after her, swallowing hard.
